The University Student Union — everyone calls it the USU — is the center of campus life at CSUSM. This four-story hub is where students eat, hang out and experience everything the university has to offer.

Whether you're grabbing coffee, unwinding in the game room or catching a live event at the outdoor amphitheater, there's always something happening here. The Activity Center offers free access to console gaming, arcade games, billiards and board games.

The USU is also a place to get involved. It's home to Associated Students, Inc., the Student Leadership & Involvement Center, and Centers for Identity, Inclusion & Empowerment, which includes the Black Student Center, Cross-Cultural Center, Latinx Center, Pride Center, Women & Gender Equity Center, American Indian Student Center, and Asian & Pacific Islander & Desi American Student Center.
