Viasat Pavilion — Where Engineers Are Built
The Viasat Engineering Pavilion is CSUSM's state-of-the-art home for electrical and software engineering — and a symbol of what's possible when industry and education come together. Named after Carlsbad-based global communications company Viasat, whose $1.5 million gift helped launch and build the program, this renovated facility is designed for students who want to learn by doing.
Inside, you'll find cutting-edge labs and innovative learning spaces, including the Hunter Design Lab and the Nordson Innovation Lab, which were both funded by corporate partners who believe in CSUSM's mission to develop diverse engineering talent for the region and beyond.
With a curriculum built around teamwork, hands-on experience and collaboration, CSUSM's engineering program connects you to the industry from day one.
